Dive In London - Dive In and speak up for Mental Health
26 September, 08:30 - 10:00
Willis Towers Watson, 51 Lime Street, London, EC3M 7DQ, London, United Kingdom
In 2008 Jonny was talked out of taking his own life from the edge of Waterloo Bridge in London by Neil. Jonny and Neil are passionate campaigners around the issues of both mental health and suicide, which is now the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. It is estimated that one in four people experience mental ill health in a year, many of us are not aware of the signs or how it may affect both the individual and those around them both at home and at work. Organisations can play an important role in ending the stigma surrounding mental health, by encouraging employees to share experiences; together we can create a long standing commitment to supporting mental health in the work environment. Join us to hear Jonny and Neil’s story first hand as they help us launch this yeas festival and our sector wide initiative “Dive In… and Speak Up for Mental Health” Campaign. Supported by Mind, the Mental Health Charity. Registration and refreshments from 8:00am, event starts promptly at 8:30am.
