Dive In Chatham - Memory Loss and Confusion

26 September, 14:30 - 16:30

Lloyd's, Fidentia House Walter Burke Way, ME4 4RN, Chatham, United Kingdom

This session will cover issues such as getting diagnoses and understanding how conditions might progress and further affect the person. It will look at ways we can support ourselves when caring for someone whose memory loss and confusion becomes distressing, practical ideas on how to support the person at home and when out and about and what sort of services and approaches can help ā€“ including helping to keep someone safe. It will also look at different ways of communicating - including easy ways we can all use drama, music, art, nature and other forms of communication which can help the person continue to express and exchange feelings, ideas and experiences.
