Based in Singapore Carrie is an Underwriting Manager for XL Insurance Company’s Crisis Management team. With major role for the Asia book of War Terrorism & Political Violence Insurance, she has additional involvement in finding insurance solutions for other products under the Crisis Management offering scopes.

Carrie started her career as a broker at HSBC Insurance Brokers for 4 years specializing in China and Hong Kong Financial Lines business. She then joined XL Insurance and moved to Singapore in January 2009 and worked as a Financial Lines underwriter for the following four years.

She then joined the XL Crisis Management team in year 2013 which was a new setup by Mr. David Guest and has specialized in underwriting War Terrorism & Political Violence risks emanating from Asian region. As Asian companies expand globally and their insurance needs change this has lead Carrie to work increasingly on risks with worldwide exposure. She is experienced in handling both direct client needs and facultative reinsurance placements.

Carrie was educated in China and UK and holds Master degrees from CASS Business School, City University in London and Reading University, UK. She is a speaker of English and Chinese, and is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese.

Carrie has extensive interests and is passionate in freestyle painting, yoga, travels and Scuba Diving.
