Peer support and educational officer at Spinal Cord Injuries Australia
After being raised in London and New York Emily chose to settle in Sydney to complete her Bachelor of Commerce at The University of Sydney. Following this Emily went travelling through South America and was enjoying the second year of her working holiday in Canada when she had a snowboarding accident and became a C 4/5 quadriplegic. Since her accident Emily has returned to study at The University of Sydney and this year has completed her Graduate Diploma in Psychology. Emily hopes to continue her studies next year within the psychology and counselling field in order to work with individuals after trauma and major injuries. Alongside her studies Emily also works as a peer support and educational officer at Spinal Cord Injuries Australia and continues to pursue her love of travelling.
