Consultant & Trainer
Lorna Easterbrook is a highly experienced and knowledgeable trainer and public speaker. She has worked with and for people with disabilities for over 20 years, particularly older people but also younger adults with learning disabilities, mental ill health, and physical conditions. She specialises in health, housing, social care, and quality of life. She has also worked with adults with mental ill health, and learning disabilities. Formerly Community Care policy expert at Age UK and the King’s Fund, Lorna has worked as an independent consultant since 2000. She is currently a Trustee of the national charity Care & Repair England, and an Associate of Community Catalysts. She has also been a family carer. Lorna has written and spoken widely on subjects such as rights to health care; accessing and paying for care at home or in care homes; adapting the home; moving home in later life; and NHS continuing health care, and over the years has answered thousands of individual enquiries from people needing care, their relatives and friends, and those working with them.
