Michael is a consultant in Mercer's Talent practice with over 8 years’ Global Mobility operations and consultancy experience. Based in London, Michael joined Mercer from EY, where he supported and advised on clients’ mobility programmes across a range of industry sectors and markets. In his current role, Michael manages a portfolio of clients providing guidance and support in the areas of expatriate compensation, Global Mobility policy & programme design and talent management. In addition, Michael leads Mercer’s members-only UK Expatriate Forum of multinational clients and delivers Mercer’s programme of Global Mobility trainings. Michael has in-house experience working in the mobility teams at Electrolux and Lloyds Banking Group and his advisory experience includes auditing a large automotive manufacturer’s Global Mobility programme, assignment programme and policy design, benchmarking, expatriate compensation modelling and stakeholder surveys. Michael plays an active role in Mercer s diversity agenda. He is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Advisory Group which guides Mercer s UK Market Leadership Team on D&I matters and is also the Co-Chair of the UK chapter of Mercer s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Allies (LGBTA) business resource group. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in European Politics and Spanish from Cardiff University. He has lived and worked in the UK, Austria, Germany, Sweden and Spain. In addition to Spanish, Michael is highly proficient in German, has a working knowledge of French and is currently learning Portuguese.
