Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Inclusion: Time for action

27 September, 15:30 - 19:00

Marsh Offices, One International Towers Sydney, 100 Barangaroo Avenue, Sydney NSW 2000, Sydney, Australia

We invite you to join this discussion on the need to create better frameworks for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the community and the workplace.

Are you aware of how you or your organisation could contribute to drive action?

This workshop will provide:
- insights into the contemporary issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
- the impacts of history on First Nations people, and how this affects employment
- an understanding of what a ‘culturally competent workplace’ looks like
- practical actions for inclusion, at both the individual and business level

The marketplace for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees is becoming increasingly competitive; what would make an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander want to work with you?

Regardless of where on this journey you are, from either a business or personal context, this session will provide ideas on tangible actions you can progress immediately. Make a difference and contribute to the improvement of employment opportunities and genuine community engagement for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.

This session is jointly provided by AIG,DXC Technology & Marsh.

3.30pm - Registration opens
4.00pm - Panel discussion commences
4.55pm - Q&A session
5.30pm - Networking drinks and canapés
