26 September, 08:30 - 10:00

Lloyd's, One Lime Street, London, EC3M 7HA, London, United Kingdom

In this event we learn from a panel of inspirational change makers, who have taken real steps to make change happen. We explore why and how they are committed to taking action to creating change for others.

Gareth Thomas, former Rugby player broke one of the biggest taboos in sport when he announced his homosexuality in 2009, retiring in 2011 Gareth has continued to raise awareness of homophobia in sport as a change maker and notably in 2017 made a BBC documentary looking at homophobia in football.

Laura Bates, pioneering feminist, activist and bestselling author, has given voice to hundreds of thousands of women through her international Everyday Sexism Project. Drawing attention to both hidden and blatant sexist acts and attitudes, Laura has exposed the startling truth behind misogyny in our society: systemic, ingrained and ignored.

Join Gareth and Laura who will discuss their own experiences in taking action and using their voice to be change makers in the UK and on the world stage.
