Future of work

27 September, 12:00 - 14:00

The Establishment, Sydney, Australia

It’s 2018 and the insurance industry remains one of the most non-diverse industries in Australia. 80% of employees come from an Anglo-Saxon cultural background, 82% of employees speak only English, 65% of leaders are male and there are very low levels of disclosure of LGBTI and disability. (Macquarie Bank Snapshot survey 2017)

Now let’s imagine a world in 2030, where 40% of Australia’s population is born overseas, China, India and Japan are the world’s three largest economies, five generations of employees are working in the workplace, Millennials comprise half the Industry’s talent pool and largest customer base and females are the breadwinners in one out of every four households.

Steadfast is hosting this interactive hypothetical-style event where a panel of diversity and industry experts will explore the outlook for the Australian Insurance industry in the future of work unpacking what needs to change to ensure that this industry can survive the forecast disruption expected from globalisation, demographic change and technological advances.

Through audience questions and interactive live-polling, the panel of guest speakers will explore the changing nature of work, changing nature of expectations of leaders and customers as well as the enablers and barriers to achieving greater diversity in the Insurance Industry.

For those leaders wishing to understand how to future-proof their organisational success, this event is not to be missed.
