Thinking the Unthinkable with Nik Gowing and Chris Langdon

25 September, 18:00 - 20:00

Ms Amlin, The Leadenhall Building, Leadenhall St, London EC3V 4QT, London, United Kingdom

How can leaders thrive in this new era of massive, continual disruption? Why do leaders struggle to think the unthinkable?

Nik and Chris outline the latest, worrying findings from four years of interviews with top leaders. They also detail the anxieties and frustrations of the Next Generation increasingly alienated by the way leaders in corporates and governments perform.

Come with your own ideas and contributions for brainstorming during this interactive Dive In session. The aim is off the record discussion about the unthinkables and other difficult issues confronting leaders.

This session may positively challenge your thinking. It is designed both for senior leaders and those about to (or who aspire to) take over leadership responsibilities.

Nik and Chris will highlight their ongoing, dynamic project. They will present new case studies of leaders and organisations which have taken radical, tough decisions to embrace change. It isn’t easy. Common factors include embracing the insights from NextGen leaders and diversity to overcome conformity and group think.

Every attendee will receive a copy of the brand new ‘Thinking the Unthinkable’ book. The session is not just about the book. It is to take a next step to create a ‘Lillypad Network’ of concerned leaders and future leaders who want to be emboldened to lead in new ways.
